Greetings on behalf of the 2007-08 Board
members. WELCOME to the official NEOCA website! First and foremost,
thank you for the dedication and services that you provide to your
program participants.
Secondly, thank you for your input
regarding the development of the NEOCA as an organization. The input we
received in the last two years has allowed us to grow to meet the
changing needs of or programs.
In case you missed the latest
developments, they include:

The development of recommendations in
regards to the overall APR for 2007. This item was submitted to the U.
S. Department of Education on behalf of EOCs across the country. See the
full document on the
resources
section of this site.

The establishment of
Cambridge Stratford Study Skills Institute as a partner with NEOCA to enhance
programmatic efforts surrounding our adult populations.

The establishment of regional
contacts to expand on EOC activities in each region. Currently we have
the majority of our regions represented. Detail regarding this item is
still in development.

The establishment of a collaborative
partnership with the Council for Opportunity in Education (COE) to
assist us with our annual NEOCA conference in conjunction with the
National COE conference each year.
These items are still being
constructed. Should you have any insights or inquiries, please feel free
to contact any board member to voice your
concerns.
We will strive to provide you with updated,
timely, accurate and meaningful information via the NEOCA website and
list serve.
